Banksy Graffitied Walls and Wasn’t Sorry. is an illustrated biography of the internationally recognized street artist Banksy, written and illustrated by Italian artist Fausto Gilberti.

Published by Phaidon in 2021, the hardcover book introduces Banksy’s work through a playful visual narrative aimed primarily at younger readers while remaining appealing to collectors and admirers of contemporary art.

The book explores Banksy’s anonymous identity, his unauthorized street interventions, politically charged imagery, recurring rats, and unconventional approach to the art world. Gilberti uses his characteristic black-and-white drawing style to make these themes accessible without losing the humor and rebellious character associated with Banksy’s work.

The volume contains 48 pages and measures approximately 21.5 × 21.5 cm / 8.5 × 8.5 in. It forms part of Phaidon’s series of illustrated artist biographies by Fausto Gilberti, introducing influential contemporary artists through concise text and distinctive illustration.

A charming publication for collectors and admirers of Banksy, street art, contemporary art, illustrated artist books, and Fausto Gilberti’s artist-biography series.
