Still Working SQZ103 by Swatch is a distinctive digital wristwatch released in 1999 at the height of public concern surrounding the Millennium Bug, or Y2K. Swatch turned the technological anxiety surrounding the transition from 1999 to 2000 into a playful design concept, presenting the watch as a humorous and functional response to the approaching new millennium.

The watch has a large plastic case measuring approximately 44.7 mm wide, 50 mm high, and 14 mm thick. It is fitted with a rubber strap, digital display, and quartz movement and was originally rated to 10 bar / 100 m water resistance.

Still Working incorporates a wide range of digital functions including Swatch Internet Time, alarm, backlight, chronograph, day and date display, 24-hour time, two time zones, and an Internet Time alarm. Swatch Internet Time divided the day into 1,000 “beats,” creating a universal time system intended to work independently of conventional time zones.

The Millennium Bug theme is an important part of the original presentation.
