One Day I Will Be Famous is an original artwork by Dutch artist Dadara, born Daniël Rozenberg, created in 2000.

Executed in acrylic paint on thick paper, the work measures approximately 19 × 60 cm / 7.5 × 23.6 in. It is presented in a much larger classic wooden frame with a gold-colored finish, giving overall framed dimensions of approximately 46 × 85 cm / 18.1 × 33.5 in. The traditional presentation creates a deliberate contrast with Dadara’s contemporary graphic language.

The year 2000 marks an important period in Dadara’s career. After graduating from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in 1992, he became closely associated with the Dutch electronic-music and underground scene through flyers, record covers, live painting, and graphic design before expanding his practice into painting, sculpture, installations, and large-scale public projects. Dadara was also an invited artist at Expo 2000 in Hannover during this period.

Original works by Dadara from around 2000 are documented in acrylic and other media on thick paper, supporting the material context of this piece within his practice at the time. His wider body of work repeatedly combines accessible graphic imagery with humor, fantasy, and commentary on subjects such as money, dreams, control, freedom, technology, identity, and contemporary society.

The title One Day I Will Be Famous introduces themes of ambition, recognition, self-image, and the desire for public visibility. While I could not locate a published interpretation of this specific work, the idea fits naturally within Dadara’s broader tendency to use apparently simple phrases and familiar cultural concepts as points of departure for more critical reflections on modern life.

The ornate gold-colored wooden frame adds another visual layer to the work. Its traditional appearance contrasts with Dadara’s contemporary, underground-influenced imagery and gives the piece a presentation more commonly associated with established or historical art—an especially fitting tension for a work titled One Day I Will Be Famous.

As a unique original from 2000, the work represents Dadara at the transition between his 1990s underground visual culture and the increasingly ambitious conceptual and public projects that would characterize his later career.

A strong original work for collectors of Dadara, Dutch contemporary art, Amsterdam underground culture, turn-of-the-millennium art, socially engaged imagery, and early works by the artist.

Time Bomb is an original hand-signed artwork by Dutch artist Dadara, born Daniël Rozenberg, dating from 1998.

Executed in acrylic paint on paper, the work measures approximately 36 × 27 cm / 14.2 × 10.6 in. It is presented in a plexiglass frame measuring 40 × 31 cm / 15.7 × 12.2 in, with approximately 2 cm / 0.8 in of framing added on each side.

The 1998 date places Time Bomb within an important early period in Dadara’s career. After graduating from the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam in 1992, he became closely involved with the emerging electronic dance and underground culture of the Netherlands, producing flyers, record covers, live paintings, and other visual work before developing a broader contemporary-art practice.

Dadara’s work from this period is characterized by bold graphic imagery, surrealism, humor, and a critical interest in modern society. His wider practice has repeatedly explored themes including money, control, freedom, technology, dreams, communication, and the systems that shape everyday life.

The title Time Bomb suggests themes of tension, urgency, danger, and the pressure of time. While I could not locate a published interpretation of this specific 1998 work, these ideas fit naturally within Dadara’s broader visual language, in which familiar symbols are often transformed into playful but unsettling reflections on contemporary culture.

Other documented original Dadara works from 1998 were also executed in acrylic on hard paper, supporting the broader material context of his painting practice during this period.

As a unique, hand-signed original from 1998, Time Bomb offers an early example of the combination of humor, graphic directness, and social commentary that would continue throughout Dadara’s later paintings, installations, sculptures, and public projects.

A strong original work for collectors of Dadara, Dutch contemporary art, Amsterdam underground culture, 1990s visual culture, socially engaged art, and early works by the artist.
